Welcome to the Musicians Guild International (hereinafter referred to as ‘The Guild’). By registering as a member and creating a profile in our directory, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms, conditions, and standards of professional conduct.
1. Professional Representation
Members agree to provide truthful and accurate information regarding their musical skills, experience, location, and travel availability.

Profile Accuracy: You are responsible for ensuring your profile (including primary instruments and media) is up to date.

Misrepresentation: The Guild reserves the right to suspend or remove any profile found to contain fraudulent claims or impersonations.
2. Code of Professional Conduct
As a member of the Guild, you represent the highest standards of the global music community. By joining, you pledge to:

Professional Reliability: Respond to booking inquiries and communications from contractors or clients within a reasonable timeframe (standard 24-48 hours).

Punctuality & Performance: Arrive at all engagements at the agreed-upon time and fulfill all musical duties to the best of your professional ability.

Respectful Interaction: Treat fellow musicians, clients, venue staff, and Guild administrators with courtesy and respect, regardless of background, gender, or orientation.

Integrity: Refrain from any conduct that brings the Musicians Guild International into disrepute, including but not limited to illegal activities at engagements or unethical business practices.
3. Media & Intellectual Property
By uploading content (YouTube videos, audio, or photos) to your profile:

You certify that you own the rights to this content or have the legal permission to share it.

You grant the Guild a non-exclusive right to display this media on your public profile for the purpose of promoting your services.

Copyright Responsibility: The Guild is not liable for any copyright infringement committed by its members.
4. Relationship of Parties (The “No-Agent” Clause)
The Musicians Guild International is a professional directory and membership organization, not a booking agency or employer.

Direct Booking: All contracts, payments, and negotiations occur directly between the musician and the hiring party.

Liability: The Guild is not responsible for payment disputes, cancelled gigs, or any issues arising from a connection made through this directory. We strongly encourage members to use written contracts for all engagements.
5. Account Security & Privacy

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.

The Guild reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove content that violates our community standards.
6. Termination of Membership
The Guild reserves the right to terminate membership without refund (if applicable) for significant breaches of this Code of Conduct, including harassment, repeated unreliability, or fraudulent activity.
